For children under 16 years old Chakras are Entry Gates of the Aura, which reside in the spiritual body. The word Chakra in Sanscrit translates to "wheel" or "disc". They absorb and transmit energies to and from the universe, nature, people even from things. According to the traditional writings there are 88,000 chakras in the human body covering basically every area in the body. Majority of them are small and insignificant. The most significant ones are the 7 Main Chakras located along the central line of the body, from the base of the spine to the top of the head. They are located in the ethereal body and they express the embodiment of spiritual energy on the physical plane. When we are in a state of ill health, the chakras may be distorted, out of alignment or even stagnant. When this happens, life force energy cannot flow in and out freely and the physical body may suffer. Stress, inability to express emotions, over emotional, negativity, disconnection from a higher power, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, exposure to toxicity, etc. can cause the chakra system to close down. Each chakra resonates with a particular frequency of vibration. Chakras are balanced by inviting them back to their natural state of vibration and frequency using any one of the techniques mentioned herein. By stimulating the senses in a favourable way, the nervous system and therefore, the chakras are balanced.
